Genesis is a bit weird when we take it too literally, I agree that when it speaks of 6-days it could be 6 eons or more. G-d gave us the gift of having sound logical minds to later decifer this creation we’re a part of.
I accept the possibility of it all. We are a people whose history are a testament to the miracles of g-d. So… having said that. If Genesis says that g-d spoke the world into being in 6 days…. well.. our oral and written history record a lot of things that must be taken on faith. The basic tenet here… is that I BELIEVE in creation… as for whether a day is 24 hours or 24 million hours… that detail doesn’t have any affect on which side I butter my toast in the morning.
