Fabulous News: “The Hebrew Hammer” has a sequel in the works.
Even better news: In the new script, the Hammer (again played by the sexily neurotic Adam Goldberg, who may or may not be dating Christina Ricci) kicks Hitler’s ass.
News to make you dance a jig of glee: In the very first scene, way before Der time-traveling Fuhrer shows up, Mel Gibson gets a bloody come-uppance.
Writer/director John Kesselman says it all:
“Young Jews love ‘The Hebrew Hammer.’ I think if Mel wants to truly extend an olive branch to the Jewish Community as a whole, his on-screen death would go a long way in accomplishing that goal.”
Really. Some raucous cheering in a full theater at your virtual death, and all may be forgiven, Mel.
